Well if sony and microsoft decide to launch consoles a generation ahead of the ps3/360 then it's more than likely going to really affect nintendo.. considering WII u's increase in power is probably equivalant to the jump Wii made from ps2.. when comparing the jump between Wii u and ps3.


Clearly, the Wii U is a lot more powerful than that comparison.  The Wii is only about 20% more powerful than the GCN, (which was clearly 50% more powerful than the PS2) and the details shown so far would be around N64 to DC at minimum.

Incorrect.

The Wii's CPU and GPU are essentially the GCN's but clocked 50% faster.

It also has more than twice as much RAM, and faster RAM as well.
