I don't  think its a stretch at all. It is clearly the inspiration. The item system, using machine guns and rocket launchers, weird items like a bowl of soup (SSB Fan), even picking up crates and tossing them or sliding them. The environments are hazards you use to defeat your enemy. A moving train, expanding levels, very similar. It is interesting that one of the characters is a brother and sister duo, much like the Ice Climbers. You also grab onto ledges and can jump down through thin platforms. It is a fighting platformer game with an item system, healthbars, and hazardous environments. Very similar to smash. Watch some videos, the game is old and obviously couldn't do what SSB did on the N64 but it is still very similar. Nintendo simply added their characters, added moves, shrunk levels, and created a ring out mechanic.

I'm legitimately not sure if this is supposed to be serious, sarcasm, or satire.

Considering I have had people try using the edge grab as a form of copying SSB....I'm totally serious.

But really, this whole rip off copy clone long lost brother crap is out of control.

I find some similarities to this amusing. Replacing posers with fanboys, punks with gamers, fashion for brand loyalty, America with Sony, UK with Nintendo, punk rock with mascot brawlers, and music with games, etc.

Profanity warning.

Before the PS3 everyone was nice to me :(
