Sorry I didn't even read the post but I've played it and it's a clone. It exists only because super smash bros, the controls and number of characters moves mimic smash bros completely. It does have its own unique features and twist, but it still a clone.

This doesn't matter to me, I'm buying it day one :D

It's not a clone, it's a rip-off. There's a difference. Fo' sho', bro

It's a rip-off definitely. But it plays differently. It is no way better than any smash bros game and it isn't as fun.

PSASBR is a ripoff for sure. Played the Vita beta and they even ripped off the likes of the announcer from Smash bros. In my opinion though its plays worse then Smash bros. Also Sony were way too dependant on the third party characters. They have other good first party characters but they stuck with some weird ones.

When a game is made purely to cash in on a other game's success I consider it a clone. This game would'nt exist if Brawl did'nt sell over 10million and melee over 7million.

After the beta, the meta will kill this game.

Yeah, it's a rip off. They took the concept from Nintendo wholesale, they took 90% of the control scheme, 90% of the physics engine, 90% of the presentation, 90% of the aesthetics and so on. I was playing it at a store demo for about half an hour yesterday and literally every person that stopped to look at it said "oh that looks like Smash Brothers". The only major change that's been made is in the KO system. You don't change one thing and have a brand new game.

If you're ok with the game being a rip off, than that's fine. I sincerely hope you enjoy the game. But please, let's not ignore the obvious. Smash Bros. made tons of creative changes to the fighting genre, and because of that it spawned a successful franchise and tons of imitators. PASBR adds just about nothing to the genre and as a result will be a footnote in gaming history.

its a clone (from smashbros) and the think that surprise me is not that... is that the game is no 50% the fun  smasbros is.
