Since I don't notice the diference between gaming at 1080p or 720p (mainly because my TV isn't that big but also because I don't play just in from of it, I leave some space between me and the TV), I don't really care if WiiU or the other next gen consoles can natively run games at 1080p graphics.
Honestly, if WiiU is powerful enough to run at 720p the games that the nextbox/PS4 run at 1080p it will be enough for me.
Btw, I have hope that next year, with games that are being developed with WiiU, Xbox360 and PS3 in mind, we start to see real improvements on the WiiU version. And I think that with Aliens: Colonial Marines we'll see them.
