no, in my opinion they won't come too early in 2013 or maybe even 2014 . ok wii u comes out this year but i don't think it would change much if nintendo would wait a year or two more so wii u also doesn't come too early.
some people who say the gap between this and next gen won't be big enough so we should wait some more years would wait so long until we could already have the next next gen then^^
and i never really understood the discussion about the 10 years life-cyle for ps3. i think it is pretty clear that it means that a console will get support for minimum 10 years and that this was never meant to mean "10 years without successor". as if sony would have really believed that in a world with technology changing so fast...
