Well of course they're going to hype the "next" E3 as being the "next" big thing that you won't want to miss... what are they supposed to say? "Same shit as last year"? lol
And while in all likelyhood we'll see the reveal of at least one next-gen console from Sony or M$, we'll know for sure in the buildup to E3 during the spring like we did 2 years ago when all the rumors surrounding Nintendo's next-gen reveal were off the charts, many of them turning out to be true of course (tablet-like controller with built in touch screen).
We should start hearing some rumors around the time CES starts in January, though I highly doubt they'll be any major reveals there.
