Whats the point in failing? I dont get why people want to get punished. Seriously If I die and have to replay the level or start from the checkpoint isnt this punishment enough? I know I failed why do I have to see a GAME OVER SCRREN to know I failed? I dont get these people...

Seriously If I play a game and have to repeat somethning 100x times I stop playing it.  i stop playing a game when I have to see the same cutscene 10x times because i died and I have no way of skipping that cutscene etc.  Its more annoying to waste time than to not see a game over screen.

If their is nothing at stake then how exiting can a game be at all? I mean fi you have 500 lives and just can´t lose where is the fun after mastering it? It would be a bigger achivement to fail then to succeed.

Why?  I mean lets say I order a Pizza  Pizza is best when you eat it. Its not fun when some parts of the pizza fall on the floor right? Pizza doesnt magically taste better when you know the part that made it to your mouth could also have kissed the floor instead.

So why would a game be better if you get punished for whatever you do?  As said before  IMHO if I fail  thats enough punishment because I KNOW I FAILED. I dont need anything to tell me how bad I am or whatever.

I also have no use for death kill ratio  or grades telling me how good I was at finishing a level. The best thing is to finish the level and knowing you were good. Is there really need for something to remind me how good or bad I was? I know what happened i played the game lol.

Just tell me YOU WERE GREAT when I was great or STFU thats the way it should be. I mean noone likes to know that one was bad  especially when it was for the wrong reasons like   Looking around in a game because the graphics are so awesome and then after you are done and cleared the level you get  GRADE D because it took you to long to reach the end? WTF?
Who the hell said I wanted to rush? I should get gold for appreciating the scenery the devs made with alot of effort instead of getting punished for doing it.

Another thing is why do things like that have to destroy the immersion? I dont want to be pulled back into the reality when I am playing a game by looking at strange statistics that rate my gamplay style  like in Bayonetta. Or by adding a timer like in 2d mario that most likely never runs out becaue you almost have to play slow on purpose for it to run out.

It might be a thing of ones mindset okay but seriously do people really need so much feedback?

Well whatever it would be nice if all this stuff would be optional but  that wont happen :)

Edit:
Well I just gave it a thought and please correct me if I am wrong is it possible that this has something to do with taking things for granted?/Ones mindset?

ATTENTION STUPID EXAMPLE INCOMING ;)

A) You walk home from school there is 2 roads leading to the school 1 to the north 1 to the south. You always take the way to the south. A guy that bullies you lives in the north so you can just go home normal every day. (you dont really care because you take the way home being peaceful for granted so its nothing special)

VS

B) You walk home from school and there is 1 way at the south. The guy that bullies you is in another class so has a different schedule/timetable. You have a 50% chance of meeting the guy when you go home. And if you have a lucky day and the guy is not there you feel happy. (because you could also have had bad luck today so Its something special!)

_
But when your mindset is like I SHOULD BE THANKFUL EVERY DAY THAT THE BAD GUY LIVES IN THE NORTHERN PART OF THE CITY. Then you always have that positive feeling.

So I guess in the case of the ingame feedback I just tick differently ;)
