We have canines for a reason

Is the human mouth capable of ripping through animal flesh with any practical efficiency? Serious question, as I don't know.

Regardless though, even if it was natural for us to eat meat, that doesn't make it right.

Our jaws are surprisingly strong, so yes they're fairly efficient.

And in evolutionary terms it does make it right; we evolved to eat meat. I doubt our brains would have evolved to the size they are if we didn't eat meat (both in terms of nutrients and the extra brain power needed to successfully hunt).

Edit: If you're genuinely worried about animal welfare but like meat, you can always do what I do and only buy specific meat (e.g. free-range chicken)
