On a serious note, why wouldn't that work out? what does that have to do with beeing a gamer and spending your free time playing games?
the job part atleast should work, thats what I'm doing.. no wife and kids, but got an apartment that i own. and who needs ladies anyway... :'(

Job part is mainly my fault (with video games not really being a factor) and the very difficult situation of trying to get a parks job (Wildlife Management degree) with 1000s of other people applying for the same job.  Plus, I only did one internship while I was in college so my experience in the field I went to college is basically nothing. 

Being a gamer is the reason why I found myself in a on and off relationship with my roommate.  We both worked at a manufacturing plant a few years back and I started talking to her due to her being nice.  I then brought up that I liked to play video games still and that I had a Wii.  She laughed at me at first stating that she hasn't played any video games for a very long time.  I then asked her if she ever tried the Wii considering it was easier for non gamers to actually play (Wii Sports).  So after a few invites to play on my Wii we started messing around.  First it was just high fives after she got a spare or strike then it progressed to hugs.  Fast forward a little and if it wasn't for video games then I wouldn't be in my current situation.  I thought she was around the age of 35+ or so and I didn't get her true age till after we started messing around.  Turns out she was in her low 40s (hard to tell cause she is Vietnamese) and due to her age I haven't had to worry about pregnancy (she is now 46).  So if I was with a younger person I probably would have a kid by now but due to my circumstances I find myself in a relationship with someone that probably won't be able to have kids.  So gaming perhaps saved me from having kids at this point in time (I don't want any for a few more years still).
