Armoed psychos (or maniacs) are best taken down by massive damagin explosive weapons. I use a nifty shotgun with 965x16 explosive damage against them, works wonders!

I haven't found a good explosive shotgun at my level yet, unfortunately.  One of the slight drawbacks of the game is that you're somewhat dependent on luck for weapons, of course.

Not sure I'll complete the game on TVH mode, to be honest.  Unlike the first Borderlands, the 1+ in B2 has some sick difficulty spikes.  Random encounters with Super Badass enemies, when in a full group of normals, can be tougher than some boss fights.  Stuff just hits way to hard to take down solo without dying when you have multiple enemies coming at you from multiple directions at once.  And shields are almost completely worthless, they always get knocked out immediately.

Also, has anyone come across a good E-Tech?  I haven't gotten one yet that I really like.

I have yet to come across a single E-tech weapon besides the one you get from Dr. Zed's mission, and I have over 60 hours playtime now. I think they're a bit rare... And I've only encountered three Chubby mobs, but they dropped some insane loot...

TVH mode is indeed really, really hard, even for me with a slow and tactical approach to every situation. Its certainly miles farther on the difficutly scale than both "hard" modes on Borderlands. The Badass enemies are incredibly tough at times and even quite a few regular mobs can withstand headshot criticals with my Sniper (28-32k damage a pop, depening on resistance and skill stacks). I'm dreading the RPG Loaders and Hyperion Snipers in the mech areas already...
