I should say 'most enthusiastic hardcore pc gamer' would fit better ... not counting the causual gamers because they will stay 1080p and less for many more years.
but this will change if newer consoles with those resolution comes out or a bluray2 maybe. We will see it maybe not in the next 2 years like 1080p but I'm pretty sure in the next 4 years. the changes has just begun.
