How this Gen almost Ended Console Gaming (For Me at least)

You have missed the point and apparently are blind if you cant see the overabundance of FP games (not just shooters).

DLC has become Publishers taking away from the original product and reselling it to you like its something new. I want DLC, I just dont want it to be something I would have normally gotten from jump last gen.

And off the top of my head, FP games that have released in the last  years...

Resistance 3,Homefront,Call of Duty MW2,Call of Duty BO2, Dishonored, Medal of Honor, Halo 4 soon, Borderlands 2,XCOM,Battlefield,Sniper Elite and the list goes on and on. FP games are all the media ever wants to talk about unless you are Assassin's Creed  and they are the most Sequel prone of any genre, coming on a yearly basis.
