I used to believe I was born gay because if I did believe that, it felt better and I could just say I'm born this way.
If there is a homo gene is there one for bisexuals as well? why don't these genes get passed down to the offspring as genes do? if there was a gene then there would be more homos/bi than just 3% of the human population! (correct my number if I'm wrong)

I think its all in the head I mean even the attraction between two people who think it is love is actually only hormones that trigger your psych and make you think you are in love!

the stereotypical average used on how many gays exist in the world is around 10%, yet this studdy only speaks of those who would verbally admit it....and we know that still many people are uncomfortable with coming out. I estimate its really like 13-15% that are whole heartedly gay. This does not include the percentage of people that are more bisexual in nature, which from personal experience....women are about 50/50(maybe its just the girls i know lol).

You should read my long post on the subject in this thread which I go into the false belief that there is an A or B gene that says gay or straight, rather it is really just genes appropriating hormone levels which give us our sexual preference on a very large scale.

Seratonin is the chemical in the brain that causes the "love" feeling. I mean when you break it all down, humans think they are higher functioning being but in reality we are still very basic organisms at our core almost entirely being driven by chemical/mechanical make up in our bodies to perform as Life needs us to be sustained.

And some of you have no idea how genes work except for when it comes to outward appearances. First off, there are things known as recessive genes. These do not appear all the time, they are dominated by another gene type usually and only surface out of playing the odds game of dice(if you roll it enough times, its bound to fall on the number you want). Red Hair is one....hence it is believed to be going almost completely extinct. Blue Eyes are too. Yet we are talking about something you can't see and the data is fogged by social structure. Hand dominance is one, where it is very common for people in the same gene pool to all write with the same hand....yet that data can be manipulated to throw you off. For instance...Me,my brother, and my mom, all left handed. My sister was right handed but yearned to be just like us so now she is ombidextrous, doesn't change the fact she is still Right Handed. Height is another recessive gene that weaves in and out of families, as is twins. There is the ground breaking incident where that white family had an entirely black child(not light skinned, but brown). There is nothing that says your offspring are always going to be carbon copies of you, genes like to play russian roullette with this because it understands diversity keeps the world progressing
