What's wrong with allowing gamers early access to your game when they pre-order? Perhaps this should be a new trend. I'd like this.


Does Steam sell those games? Digital Distributors may follow release dates exactly rather than like Retailers who try to get extra sales from their locations earlier as an advantage.

I remember when I worked at Fry's Electronics when Pokemon Diamond/Pearl came out, the game was actually out in the stands a few days before it actually was sold anywhere else even online.

SWTOR was an Origin game, and Guild Wars 2... I don't think it uses any third party clients. It's just ArenaNet's stuff.
