I just put Xenoblade disc in and it says that I should update. Which is fine, but at the same time it says if your system is modified it might break your console or something like that. Is that normal?

If your system isn't modified, you have nothing to worry about. All the game will do is place the latest firmware on your system.

Ok. Sounds good. Is there a way to know if my system is modified? And if it is, does the console actually break or does it just take away the mod?
