Nah. Used to be you could buy one and a half Canadian dollars for one USD, but now the canuck buck is at parity, even a little higher these days. You might get some tax credits, but I don't think they amount to too much.

Studios open up in cities like Vancouver and Montreal because they've now established large developer communities, and because the cosmopolitan culture of those cities tends to attract the kind of young, educated creatives that game development requires.
