I eat a piece of fruit and an ice cream or rice pudding/custard for breakfast. If there isn't rice pudding, ice cream or custard I eat 2x yoghourts and 2-3 cookies instead.

Whenever I eat soup, rice, or pasta (probably other things that doesn't require the use of a knife as well) I use my right hand idex finger (I'm left handed) to rotate the plate anti-clockwise at the same time I pick up the food. That way it is easier to do it, the colder part of the dish is always on the easiest part to pick up and when eating pasta or rice there's always food there as well. Now I do it unconsciously, and I almost forgot to put it here. It may be a bad sign...

Whenever I eat yogurt I pick up the yogurt on the cover with a spoon. I've heard stories of people ignoring it and throwing it to the trash can, or even worse, people that lick the yogurt from the cover. Disgusting.

I pick the knife and fork in the normal way, despite being left handed. When I started eating by myself I learned how to use the fork first, which I picked with the left hand, obviously. Later when I had to use the knife the obvious thing to do was to pick the knife with the right hand instead of trying to learn everything from scratch (you right handers are doing it wrong!).

@Axumblade I do the same thing when I eat waffles... all that symmetry must be there for something!

@Sal: The ketchup thing is terrible. My brothers do it all the time. Ketchup on paella, chicken, omelette, croquettes...
