(4)Nintendo is simply trying to catch Sony and MS on tech and that tactic will end badly, especially when the others get around to releasing their own consoles.

There is nothing to suggest that the Wii U will be anywhere near as successful as the Wii. Will it able to fend of the next PS and X-box, though? Hard to say, we don't know what they're offering yet, nor do we know what the market will bring in the coming years and how it will change, also add in a possible fourth contender on the home console market as a wildcard and we know truly nothing.

samuship; I think that the Wii U will have a shorter life than the Wii, the Wii was the market leader from very early on, broke records and made Nintendo ridiculous amounts of money and they were still first out the gates with a replacement (like certain people predicted, the whole sales curve was foreseen by some). There's also the simple fact that the market keeps moving faster and is branching out, leading to all three console of the 8th gen having short lives, we'll never see PS2 level support ever again in the market.

Are you sure you don't hate Ninty lol? This all screams I hate Ninty to say the least. So many flaws lol.

1. What exactly are the big guns lol. The games you like? The highest selling 3rd party game has already been announced for WiiU its called CoD. GTA has yet to be annouced for anything so for all we know its 360/PS3/WiiU. The major 3rd party support has already been annouced the only thing left are the smaller games HD gamers like and think will make a difference. They won't make a difference all Ninty needs are the "big multiplatformals"(CoD, GTA, Madden, Fifa, etc...) and Nintys exclusives you know the games that actually sell consoles, something the "big guns" dont do besides the games I just mentioned. I mean seriously what are these titles the WiiU needs that are even going to sell beyond 5 million without being added together across platforms lol?

2. Yea it has worked for them in the past lol. Gamecube and N64 aren't Ninty's only platforms. Let me guess NES and SNES don't count even though they were also pretty powerful for their time. Wow you sure are smart.

3. This is according to some random internet dweller lol. Im sure you doubted the Wii as well but ofcourse your gonna claim you saw it being successful.

4. This line confirmed your bias against Ninty. Playing catch up lol, kinda like Kinect and PS Move and how is playing catch up releasing a new platform late compared to when you usually release new products. According to this logic, if Apple takes a year off from releasing(wait longer than they usually do) their next iphone and release it the year after they are just playing catch up. How exactly do you know how powerful their next platforms are going to be exactly lol, looking at how desperate they got at copying Ninty they could pull a Wii stunt for all we know. Ofcourse Im not saying they will be weaker than WiiU but I am saying they could very well be just alittle stronger to keep cost down and actually beating Ninty this time.

But for the rest of your post do you even realize the Wii wasn't the market leader as early as you claim since the WiiU will be market leader day one? Wow do you even think before you post. Was this suppose to be a negative thing about the Wii because all of this applies to the PS1 lol. It became the highest selling home console and was replaced by the PS2 before Ninty replaced their less successful platform. Anyways thanks for showing me how much you know and how bias you are.
