You're right to go with the wait and see approach then. If the 3DS is any indicator of anything, the WiiU should get solid support from SE. Namco are partnering with Nintendo strongly these days (TTT2, Smash Bros U), and Tales has come to the cube before, and lately to the 3DS. If you own a Wii did you like Xenoblade? Because if yes you can be sure that Monolith is cooking up a jrpg for the U. Then we have Mystwalker being a safe bet. All in all there is promise for your tastes on the U but to wait for now is good because they won't arrive at launch. Don't know if this info interests you but your explanation makes it clearer for me why you always answer that to OPs on Nintendo. But if they are improving in an area (like in this case better software support in general, not including jrpgs), mentioning that you're waiting for something more doesn't add value to OP imho, especially given the reason for sayin' it. You can acknoledge the progress or disagree with it, or say it's not enough. However the it's not enough is really limited in scope here, so it would at least help if you elaborated as to why off the bat. But that's just my honest thoughts on it. |
i do not own a wii, i considered getting it at one point but the amount of games i wanted for it didnt justify the purchase, besides they'd look ten times better emulated. my boyfriend wants to get one for party games but i think we might as well get a wii u later than a wii at this point in time.
i think the system looks good and the features look interesting, the pro controller is a welcome option. still it's a shame they region locked it, that makes it so we are totally depending on a game being localized on our region in order to play it, but i guess i can be happy that nintendo europe did better for the wii than nintendo america and hope the trend continues.
