I say it, not based on personal taste but on how the "hardcore" gaming landscape was formed this generation. 3rd Party titles like Assasin Creed and Modern Warfare dominated. Although the above games may not be to your taste, the taste makers (the gaming media) are coining them the ones to look out for, what bigger titles have been announced for next winter/2014? Naturally these are likely to become the mass market games which the casual gamers will lean to.

WIthout these titles (or whatever the next big titles/franhcises are) on their platform there is no way Nintendo can "Fend Off" or compete with PS4/720, they will instead be forced to carve their on niche similar to the Wii. Thats not necessarily a bad thing, but as I don't feel the Wii U PAD has the same "Blue Ocean" appeal as the wii-mote it'll put nintendo in risk of underperforming.

LOL WHAT? New super mario 2 sold faster then the original in the uk. How many times does it take to get through to people nintendo can live entirely on their own franchises. Nintendo are showing absolutely no sign in slowing down in software power.

@ Dirty it would look absolutely no different on ps4 and 360 2 though. What will 360 2 buyers cheer for? A late port of modern warfare 4? A port of bungie's multiplat xbox game?

What were vita fans cheering for? Marvel vs capcom? Ninja gaiden sigma? Metal gear solid hd? These are all ports.

You miss my point completely. By not offering such titles Nintendo wouldn't really be in competition with the other platform, in such a situation those who seek the best of the best 3rd party titles will either have to pick up PS4 or 720 (similar to how this gen panned out). I don't doubt their ability to move their own software but without a wii sports, or wii fit quality title on the horizon to draw in a new audience and with the core gamer arguably satisfied with their current systems or at least content, I don't see the Wii U fairing as well if they fail to get Next Gen-3rd party support. Thats not to say they'll fail, just underperform.
