I meant fanwise. Its risky if you ask me. Going up against Xbox Live ( which surely Microsoft will fully implement for Windows 8 in the way Sony are ). If Microsoft do, Sony will lose this. Live is a proven million seller. Minecraft for example has sold more than most Disc based games and is still selling. It'll likely it 6 million before E3 next year. Developers wont be afraid of a service thats proven like Xbox Live. They will cling to it as its proven. The fact that Xbox Live is built into Windows 8 screams Microsoft are going the same route. And I have a funny feeling Microsoft will also give you the option to download the game for keeps on Live as well as a stream service.

This should be very interesting indeed.

Chrome doesn't come de-facto with Windows, yet is a widely adopted browser. The same can be said about a streaming gaming service like steam or gaikai, but this is a minor point. I don't see the disadvantage on Sony's part except a minor one, in the end it'll be the content that sells the streaming platform of choice.

@bold. Indeed!
