Not true. In Louisiana, if your parent or guardian consents to you drinking available alcohol, you are within the law to drink to your pleasure.

Ah, I think I see the confusion. I meant purchase and public consumption are forbidden. The majority of states though have either no or partial restrictions on private consumption,

Public/Private isn't really the issue (purchase is definitely banned). If you go into a resturant. A 19 year old can not order his drink, but if his father does, then it's ok.
