The thing is though not every third party will be willing to jump toward more powerful systems yet and that is the hole in this theory. People seem convinced power was the only factor and it wasn't. It was mainly the install base. Wii had the smallest install base of the three.
What we need to find out first is how core gamers get on with wii u. Luck will have nothing to do with this. Provided core gamers accept wii u its highly unlikely it will lose third party support like wii did. Regardless of how much more powerful the other systems are.
