You can make the same argument for 360 2 and ps4 though. By the time they come out the wii u will have an install base and a better library. It will also likely be lower priced since the others will have more technology in them. The xbox and playstation will start again as well. Wii u will likely be getting more games into the next year when they first enter the market. Plus in sony's case especially, games they hype up will likely not surface until much later. Microsoft tend to play it safer but in nintendo's case (since they have their cards so close to their chest) the only games confirmed seem to be those showing up early in wii u's life cycle.

True. When PS4 and Xbox3 release the problem is reversed, and there's no guarantee Sony or Microsoft can sustain the level of support they curently enjoy. But that's a later issue.
