Most usage stats (even Google's own advertising revenues) point to the average iOS user being more active than the average Android user in web usage, app usage, etc. It's the iPad that really makes the difference here, though. People browse way more on tablets than on phones.
Don't even bother looking at StatCounter, as they cheerfully exclude the iPad from their stats altogether (not clear on whether they're excluding Android tablets or not).
