I'd say in 3-5 years Windows Phones will be a pretty big device.  I love my Windows Phone and honestly think it's better than both Androids and Iphones.  It'll need time to grow though and I'd say the same will go to Windows tablets.  Although it's a premium product and has the qualities of being huge it'll have to climb uphill before it becomes a true competitor.  Just look at Bing vs Google.  Bing is now a true competitor to Google but it took time to get where it is.
