It will be much closer. Last gen the Wii was hardly more powerfull than the Xbox and 360/ps3 were 10x as powerfull as Xbox and Wii. This time the other systems are said to be maybe 5 times as powerfull as xbox 360 and the Wiiu is twice as powerfull as the Xbox 360. It's gonna be much closer plus more and more content will be of the downloadable variety and won't be using the full effects of next gen engines as this is too expensive.  It's certainly not going to be the same as last gen.  I'm still skeptical as there were no doubt be games that go ps4 nextbox only but Nintendo need to ensure that they have a steady flow of exlusives of their own. Their off to a great start with Pikmin 3, Bayonetta 2, ZombiU, Next Mario 3d, Next Metroid, Next Zelda ect...  

Also if you only define third party support as massive blockbuster cross platform games I think you're misguided. Looks like Nintendo will be leading the way in terms of 3rd party unity engine support.
