You are confusing "gender" with "sex". Gender is a social construct; sex is chromosomal.

Vivian doesn't have chromosomes; she doesn't even properly have a body. She is a ghost.

You're right I confused the terms. And Vivian is indeed a ghost, so I guess this doesn't really matter :P
