I liked how in TTYD you would get new powers and go back to old areas and access new areas. That might still be present, but I liked the one connected world better.

Btw... from the latest batch of details:
- Emphasis on backtracking/exploration - You may not be able to access one path right away until you find whatever you need in a later level - There will be another path in the level that you can take to exit - Levels that haven’t been fully explored will be marked
With the locations, I agree, they seem way less varied than TTYD and Super Paper Mario. I think a back to basics is good (since Paper Mario (the 64) is still my favorite RPG ever) but maybe they can innovate more in later levels

This just proves that you are blindly defending the game. Are you really going to defend some generic areas instead of the mindblowing areas found in TTYD?
