People spend their entire lives looking at pictures in books and paintings (which are 2D) and their brains add the depth. The same goes for TV and movies where you are looking at a moving 2D image. Because of this it doesn't feel natural to look at a 3D screen. It probably would, if the person was always only exposed to 3D content. But as it is, the natural way is 2D. This is what brains are used to. |
I just replace that sentence with "People who actually spend their entire lives looking at pictures in books, paintings, computer displays and TV's in 2D will not be used to looking at a 3D world".
It all makes sense now.
