Family oriented =/= Kiddie

Yes it does.

Family orientated means a game the whole family can play together, One that's easy, colourful, kid friendly and without any violence, sex or emotion

It can't be family oriented unless it's kid friendly or "kiddie"

No it doesn't. That may be your interpretation of it, but that isn't what it means or what it does.

Games like super mario bros require increase and diverse levels of skill to complete the stages.

Family oriented means accessible to everyone.

Kiddie games are games that are aimed at children. They are simple and made to simply be played moreso than anything else. They lack complexity and difficult challenges.

These are family oriented games. Unlike kiddie games they have more complexity and challenge at varying levels to suit different interests, but remain playable and entertaining for everyone at the same time.

What you are describing is a "mature limited" game. What your statement is claiming is that anything that isn't mature (violence, blood, sexuality) is kiddie. This is the problem with most people and their presumptions of Nintendo. They use binary logic like that.

I couldn't stomach playing kiddke games but I've also gotten tired of all guns, blood and gore. I prefer games like Red Steel 2 and Zelda and Metroid. Neither of those are kiddie but

Also, Nintendo does have some sexual references in some of its games (mostly Zeldas but also games like Captain Rainbow).

The negative beliefs about Nintendo have always been founded on bias, not fact.

I was merely introducing themes that would not be included in a family frendly or kids game for obvious reasons, A game isn't automatically kiddie if it doesn't contain those themes listed above, It's just that many "mature" games that deal with emotion and adult themes contain Violence, blood and sexuality but it doesn't have to be that way, in my opinion it would be great if nintendo were like Pixar with the way they make there video games, Pixar tackle adult themes and sneak in jokes here and there and providides storytelling that the parents will really enjoy whilst being very accessable and kid friendly.
