If you think that's bad, you should listen to Italian Americans speak English.  What's written and what is spoken are often two completely different things.

Well vowels play a big role on that.

If you want some portuguese to say "Hi! Put a cream number five, sweetie" with the correct accent you should ask him to read this "Ai, puta crime nambâr fáive, suíti"

Accent will come out correct, although the person is using the portuguese form of it.

I'm sure you sound funny reading the second lol

 

There are also many words in english that I have no idea how to read them.
