usually there is a cash prize and a publishing deal as well as a high end Nvidia GPU involved. Being one of the first devs to get a UE4 licence is also nothing to sneeze at IMO, and it also shows that Epic are commited to bringing the power and tools of UE4 to indie devs which is a good sign.
