I don't blame people for being skepitcal. I like Nintendo, but if I didn't like the N64, GameCube, or especially the Wii, I would be cautious with Wii U.

The onus is on Nintendo to prove this console is for non-Nintendo fans, and not some platform that runs out of gas (and content) after 3 years and has mostly a catalog of Nintendo stuff as its best wares + some ok third party stuff.

This has pretty much been the case since the SNES era ended 15 years ago now.

Of course if you like Nintendo franchises, then what's the debate? You're going to have to buy a Wii U to play those franchises.
