I don't get all this complaining about tax payer money. You pay for the police to protect you and catch them, you pay for the court system to give them a fair trial, you pay for the prisons to take care of them and hopefully rehabilitate them and make them see that there is more then a criminal life. It's all part of living in a humane society.
Anyway video games are probably one of the cheaper alternatives for relaxation to keep people from becoming restless. Or would you like to send people back out on the street after locking them into solitary confinement with nothing to do for years?
What's next complaining that they can get schooling in prison?
