You are entitled to your opinion, but that's an extremely unfair criticism of Obama.  I don't care who would have been president, whether it was the best possible president you could have asked for or worst, no one could have prevented an increasing debt.  We are running on a deficit, so of course the debt increased.  There's also inflation going on, and the bailout also contributed to that increase of debt.  If we didn't do a bailout, where would we be now?  Do you even want to think about that?  I don't think you understand a single thing about how politics works if you believe the president had any power over our increasing debt these past 4 years.


Actually anyone who has any idea on economics knows how to save America.

- End illegal immigration

- Tariffs on foreign goods

- A service economy can't sustain itself - we need to be a PRODUCTIVE economy. Bring back the factories!

- Protectionism

- Cut spending, raise taxes

Everything Obama has criticized Bush for, Obama has done - why? They both work for the same people. They are no different.

The people in power KNOW they are destroying the U.S. while they reap the benefits. America could be in great shape now, but will die a sad, slow, death.


You seem to not be able to realize that the President doesn't have the power to make all those decisions on his own.  A lot of those decisions are also unpopular, and ending illegal immigration would not necessarily make us in a better economic state due to how much production the illegal immigrants give us.  They take a lot of jobs normal Americans wouldn't take.  However, there's no sure way to tell exactly what would happen, as this would mostly play as a part of psychology.  Bringing back the factories also has many other issues that involve things like poor work conditions, and a lower HDI.  

You should also realize that our budget is pretty tight, and cutting spending somewhere means taking away something for someone out there.  Raising taxes is an unpopular decision that also falls more into the Senates hands rather than the Presidents.  In fact, almost all economic decisions rests with the Senate (and partially the House).  Since Congress is split, this means Obama has less influence over what happens with these things than a President normally would have.
