I just watched the European NIntendo direct WiiU preview (the one back from the NewYork presentation)
And I noticed that neither Iwata nor Shibata say "the WiiU" I also cant remember Reggie saying "the WiiU". They always seem to say WiiU only
I always said WiiU without article (at least when speaking German) because in German there is no article confirmed at all for Wii or WiiU and the german manual never mentioned an article.
(The German Wikipedia lists it as"die WiiU" which doesnt mean die as in "die Hard" it is the female German version of "THE". but this is nonsensical bullshit that was spread by retards. If anything it should be called "das Wii" in German because Wii=we=wir in German and the correct article for "wir" is "das" but thats another story)
So what about Wii or WiiU do the consoles have an article? Or is it something special like Google? You never say "I used the google to find XY" right? Its always "I used google", "google is your friend" etc...
Does the manual mention "the" for Wii? or is "the" only used when talking about the second part of a word like in: "the Wii-mote " "the Wii-console" etc?
Just curious.
What do you think?
