Unity can be a great boon, but it depends on Nintendo's willingness to promote indie developers. Hopefully games like The Cave (easily the most promising game coming to the eShop, I say) get an appropriate amount of promotion. The 3DS eShop has been pretty good in terms of showcasing the best the service has to offer, bolstered by some really good and successful first and third-party games, so I'm optimistic.
