Wasn't Sony saying, even as recently as E3 itself, that they are all about the core gamer and providing those core experiences?
I suppose they could try to focus heavily on both, but focusing hard in two areas will make the original focus less, due to the balancing of resources...
Could Sony be abandoning the hardcore?! THAT would be a hilarious sight to see!
