1. DLC on a Mario game. Why do we buy Nintendo systems? Most of you will probably say it is because of Nintendo games. But what happens when we cannot trust Nintendo to make a high quality game anymore? That is what is happening as of late. We just discovered from the recent Nintendo Direct that Mario is going to have DLC by the end of the year. It was already a feeling of many that this new Mario Game was not on par with past games. Some said it was the co-op that was not as good, some said it was too fast or even too easy. Now we learn what was missing. Nintendo is not giving us quality anymore. Not only have we been flooded with Mario over this past year ( not even), but some of it has even been mediocre. What do I mean be mediocre? For a Nintendo game mediocre does not equal bad. In fact it is just the opposite. It is made very well with no technical flaws at all. But it has no fireworks. I had no problem with Mario Tennis Open! None. But did I want to come back and play it for more than 2-5 hours? The answer is a resounding no. The only real extra reason to keep playing this recent game is because of the coin total. Not even Nintendo can pump out quality material every few months. 2. The taste they have left in some gamers mouths. Are we expected to just forget about the last two years when Nintendo more or less forgot about us Wii owners, as well as DS owners? 2010 was the last year that I was proud to be a Nintendo fan. We had plenty of games and everything was going well for us. I have really enjoyed Skyward Sword. I said it so that no one will say I forgot about the game. But one really good game for a whole year does not cut it. Nintendo has done this sort of thing since the days of the N64. Is anyone else just totally done with waiting for games to come out on Nintendo systems? I keep hearing how the 3DS is so great! This is coming and that has come out. What? What is coming! Another God Damned Mario game and Professor layton. Did you guys seriously buy your 3DS to only play Mario games? It is pretty sad that I can count the big games this year from Nintendo on one hand. Maybe two if I try really hard and use every ounce of concentration that I have. For all you Europeans out there an ounce is an American Measurement. Look at Skyward Swords sales. Has there ever been a Zelda game that people had this many problems with? Some life long Nintendo/Zelda fans were really let down by this game. Even our very own RolStoppable gave us 50 problems with Skyward Sword. Nintendo is letting us down left and right people. In their effort to save face and get back to profit they are making all the wrong choices. But now that we are talking about the 3DS and not the Wii I will bring up something that people continue to argue with me about. The games! MGS, Resident Evil, Mario Tennis, Kid Icarus, and NSMB 2. Am I missing anything other than some random eshop games? That is all we have gotten this year. We are in month nine, which is also known as Septembre. Mortal Kombat, Little Big Planet, Gravity Rush, etc. That is all I know, but that is pretty sad that someone like me who does not pay any attention at all to other companies almost knows more games that have come out for the Vita than for the 3DS off the top of my head! Long live the 3DS and PSP in Japan, but in the West Nintendo is letting it die. Maybe it is their plan to downsize so that they can just run a small company out of Japan that only has to compete there. I do not own the Seattle Mariners and I am not the owner of a 100 year old company so I do not know. What I do know is that Americans are not going to stand for it too much longer. We have other forms of entertainment to get control of our limitend attention spans. On this gaming site many of you would probably aruge with me, but what about the soccer mom who wants to get their kid something nice for Christmas? She has no loyalty towards Mario like some of us gamers do. She will buy her 8 year old a ipad 3 this Christmas. Because he will not be asking for a system with a handful of the same games on it. "What would you like son? Mario, Mario or Mario?" " I want an ipad you fuching bitch! Get me some pizza pockets while your in the kitchen." ( Mom then cries in pantry as she decided to do what he says before her 8 year old slits her throat and plays in her blood instead of with his 3DS).
3. Localization and Region lock. We can call this section " The problem with the 3DS". Localize us some Fu**ing games Nintendo! This region lock bullshit is some bullshit too. They are not blind or dumb by any means. So Nintendo knows that people want more games. Yet the region lock the shit out of the Wii U and the 3DS anyways. Their need to block out piracy at any cost is hurting us more than it is hurting pirates. If they were able to hack the PS3 ( twice?), then they will hack the 3DS and the Wii U. I remember the days of the N64. When there was no games coming out for the system in the states ( where this crap all began) there was at least the possibility of getting imported games. Even our local Video rental store was importing games for people to rent. What does Nintendo really hope to accomplish with all of this unneccessary rigamarole? Maybe I am just missing the picture with the whole Region lock and localization thing? Is it because they are worried that a game will not sell enough to warrant the price of localization? That cannot be it because I remember the wii getting crapped on with tons of shitty imported games. What was that rpg that came out on the PS2 and Wii called again? Something....Wars? Sold like 10,000 copies. Does not seem like too hard of thing to figure out. "Reggie, we want you to make a poll on your American (SLIME) website and find out which games American's want localized". That is all they need to do. We would have told them right off the bat, "WE Want Xenoblade ( Are they Fuching brain dead?), Last Story, and Pandora's Tower, oh and if it is not too much trouble bring us some Captain Rainbow and Earth Seeker as well."

None of your three points are Nintendo specific burns. These points could easily be modified for their competitiors as well. Nothing to see hear move a long people!
