Wow, reading this thread really shows how unbelievably one-eyed both sides are in American Politics just now.
Nobody seems capable of taking a step back; of listening to the other side; of accepting that EVERYBODY has the best of intentions for their country; of trying to identify the many areas where both sides can agree and work together; and of trying to come to some accommodation on areas where they don't agree.
Is that too much to ask of grown-ups?
