It has clearly been successful, recently they revamped the whole system and added different areas and tasks to do and from what I understand a lot of devs have something going on. I have been to a lot of the spaces Batman AA, played a couple of resistance games, gone to R&C space, uncharted games, got a miniangel from some task/mini game etc. There is tons to do but the problem is that home is more designed for social action and if you dont have anyone you know using it or going to it (like me) than its not as interesting. Also, I dont think that sony have done enough to get people to try it out. There is no relevance for the characters you create, or the home spaces/trophies/costumes outside of the home and I think this has meant people havent bothered to try it. I would love to see sony take a page out of MS's book (ironic considering the avatar system MS has is a reply to the PS Home) and have your home avatars showing on psn or your trophies as your avatar or have more of an in-game relevance even if only for sony exclusive 1st-person titles.
