Eventually, I'll get a basic Wii U, when it drops price and it's a steal, etc. Of course I'll do this with time but here's the explanation, gentlemen:

I'll have a pro model, in my living room. Because I am a pro, of course.

And, I'll buy another basic model one, to hook up on my car, underneath the radio ( I've got someone who can do that job quite nicely, no amateur bullshit, no sir), and I'll have a mobile home console (henceforth MHC) on my car. Charging the Gamepad will be no problem with the inevitable USB cable that will launch or already is done by some 3rd party.

Advantages:

  1. profiles aren't now tied to hardware. Can use both accounts on the two consoles;
  2. Getting a 2nd Gamepad, to use in your living room or car now justifies just more 100$ for a brand new Wii U. Maybe less at the time;
  3. Next-gen Entertainment on your car if you often carry people. Or have spare time yourself. Not limited to games. Gaming on the Gamepad screen only, unless you want to carry a TV in your car.
  4. If you park near a Wi-Fi spot, you can be gaming next gen games online while at camping, drive-in restaurants, at the beach, etc, you name it.
  5. A 2nd Wii U in case one fails later at the end of its lifecycle and without warranty anymore.
  6. A 2nd Wii U for an old school LAN party. Got a friend wich is a Wii U gamer ? Just insert your account there, dude. Let's play.
  7. If you're visiting a friend who happens to also own a Wii U, guess what, there's a high change you're carrying a Gamepad with you.
Before you LOL, I've seen people getting up to 4 Xbox360 during this generation lifespan, not because they wanted extra consoles, but because the ones either eventually ROD'd or wanted to upgrade to a new model. PS3 owners did the same jumping from FAT to Slim PS3.
Owning 2 Wii U's for your own entertainment at new levels, squeezing the better, out of the best experience possible you can have on this upcoming next Nintendo generation of software... And you're not doing it because your old console got obsolete or malfunctioned. It's not much a farfetched  idea comparing to those 2 scenarios.
That is all. I'm getting dinner now. Munchies.

Very Cool Idea. Not sure if this is available where you are but here I can create a wi-fi hotspot out my Iphone which would allow you to access miiverse off your Wiiu wherever you were!  Could be neat.
