I just gave you the stats RP. From what I posted, twitters active users are almost one and a half times as high, but the disparity is shrinking, bc Google has more $$$$ and resources to make the product better. So, in a year's time, G+ may very well be bigger, and the trend is in G+'s favor as well.

What trend? That G+ is growing? Well, so is Twitter.

Twitter is the 8th most popular website in the world (which is amazing, considering that many users NEVER visit the website). Google, with all of their bundled services (excluding YouTube) is second behind Facebook. Referencing "active users" doesn't tell us much other than "people have logged in and done something". All you have to do is look at the activity on Twitter, Facebook, and Google+ to see the massive disparity between FB/Twitter and G+. I do a fair amount of internet marketing for my own projects and check all three every day. G+ isn't even close.

I don't know anyone who isn't on Facebook. Maybe 25% of my friends are on G+. From launch day to now, maybe 1/4 of those are still active on G+. That means less than 10% of my friends actively use G+. Twitter is even higher than Facebook for me. Everybody I know tweets at least a little.

Ok fine, but realize that twitter is six years old versus G+'s being just one or1.5 years old.so it's grown at a higher rate and looking at the trend, will outclass twitter by mid year in 2013 bc google has a richer service all around than twitter.

It has better :

Marketing- twitter doesnt have the worlds biggest search engine funneling users to it in the same way as google does.  Every time somebody is logged in while searching, google puts G+ threads as a result in the top 10.  So people come in by accident, versus twitter actually having to pay somebody else (usually google) for ppc advertising

Video chat-  twitter doesn't have a video chat feature

Demographics- twitter has a poorer user base, due to it being a minorityfriendly social media service.  So, g+ users have more money to spend, making it a better place to advertise on

Integration of features: google integrates Gmail, Google Maps, Google Play, etc making G+ a hands-down better service
