Capcom Explains Wii U and 3DS Cross-Play in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate

While the Monster Hunter "party" sounds like a logistical nightmare, I really like the idea of being able to keep playing the game when you're outside of the house. I'm definitely going to pick up a copy for Wii U, especially since I never bought Tri for Wii.

What about split-screen local co-op? Will that be supported?
