This thread almost makes me want to pop my game back in and check it out. It has been a while since I've played it.

To the OP: Do you know of a scene where you really noticed the drop in framerate? Or maybe what you are doing in the game where you see it very choppy/slow?

I remember very clearly that my PS3 version kept the number of enemies around your party at a very low number. 5-6 at most I think; the PC on the other hand had you up agaisn't everything all at once. The PS3 version gave you waves of enemies and the third person, behind-the-shoulder, camera angle was not something I enjoyed. This is why I prefered the tactical and more challenging PC version.

I noticed it is worse whenever it goes from a speaking dialogue to a battle.  Those first 5 or 10 seconds I get nearly no response.  There's other random times, but I notice that is when it is at it worse.  It's also pretty bad after the loading screen (which is also one of the longest I have seen, only the Crash Bandicoot for the PS2 was longer).
