I wouldn't really compare gpus with different archicture by Gflops
for example afaik the 360 GPU(Xenos) has 240Gflops and the PS3 GPU (RSX) 400.4 Gflops of processing power, but due to it's way better architecture (and better access to ram/edram) the Xenos does outperform the RSX

Well, if you consider that a 48xx series gpu used DirectX10.1 and Shader Model 4.0, and a 6760 type gpu uses DirectX 11 and Shader Model 5 equvilent, I thinkthe visual results on screen will be far better than what the perfomance would suggest. Lowers number with better results. That is what Nintendo goes for usually. So, its definitely not worse than the 4890 being it that is can produce graphical features that are beyond anything the 4890 can produce even with its lower numbered perfomance. |
ofcourse you have a point there, but some of the newer features like Tesselation are very very power hungry, so the question is if they can really use the SM5.0 effects that improve the visuals with a chip like the E6760
