Well nintendo said that so far that so far there is no game that supports 2 controllers, that is why the gamepad can not be bought from gaming stores in the US. I think that the WiiU scenario is something like with the 3DS. 3DS graphics could be better if developers were not forced to use 3D. This time if the WiiU developers were not forced to use a second screen graphics would also be better. So I think that according to this news, technically the WiiU has hardware capable of directx 11 functionality, but if you render the graphics twice, there will be some compromise. But yeah, as you said lets wait and see XD |
The only thing I disagree with is the 3DS statement. As of now, only one game has come close to pushing the 3DS to its limit (Resident Evil: Revelations), and it had the strongest 3D effect of any game I've seen on the handheld. It seems to me that 3D has yet to be a huge barrier for most developers. However, I can imagine that 3D support, or GamePad support, can cut into resources that could be used to generally improve graphics. And later on in the 3DS lifecycle, more concessions may have to be made to support 3D as more graphically intensive games are released. But again, this is all wait and see. Also, much speculation and skepticism while events play out.
