LOL! No... the 2.5 figure is the "Year To Date"  sales (totals for 2012).

The 2.9 is "Lifetime" Vita sales.

Regarding adjustments, I don't know when will Vita numbers be lowered to account for that 2.2m figure up to June 30th. I don't want those adjustments to take too long to occur otherwise I'll be adjusting A LOT of data in those charts @_@

So, those aren't the adjusted numbers. The 2.2M figure for June it was shipped numbers, so it should be like 400k overtracked, which means 2.5M LTD right now.
