This action actually is not a first for Nintendo. I remember some months ago that reported buying some middleware thingie (no techie here!) and giving it away for free i think.
Overall, one more action of support to developers from Nintendo!

MobiClip is the one they purchased.

But they've also added Havok, Umbra and AutoDesk to their SDK.

I remember MobiClip, but i thought it was something else. Can`t really recall what it was.
Maybe it was Umbra or Autodesk, i don`t know...
